There are almost no wells in the <br />eastern portion of the bedrock aquifers. The alluvial (QAL) wells are found in the northeastenn <br />part of the Denver Basin. It is interesting to note the small number of Arapahoe (KA) and <br />Dawson (TDW) wells in Table 2. One probable cause of this is that water quality is generally <br />higher un the Arapahoe and Dawson aquifers, which would make these wells more likely to be <br />pumped and therefore excluded from Table 2. It would be advantageous to add monitor>ing <br />wells where there is a lack of these wells to gaol better spatial analysis of overall water levels. <br />In addition to increasing the spatial distribution of monitoring wells, creating a monitoring well <br />network that encompasses all major aquifers would be beneficial to gaining a better <br />understanding of both long-term and seasonal water level trends. <br />SPDSS Phase 4 Task 39 Technical Memorandum-Final <br />O~i20%2008 <br />
