Simpson <br />District Manager <br />Date of Birth: December 1, 1954 <br />Employment Date SCMWD: May 19, 1973 <br /> <br />I have been employed by the St Charles Mesa Water District for 35 years. During my <br />tenure at the District I have worked in various jobs that prepared me for my current <br />posi tion. <br />Thru the years I have attended trainings in management, water treatment, water <br />distribution, and hydraulic modeling. I was privileged to serve on the Colorado Water <br />Operators Certification Board for 9 Years and worked with the Board for another 4 years <br />preparing and grading exams. I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado <br />Water and Protective and Development Association for 4 Years. <br />My job duties at the District have ranged from pipe laying and repairing, new water <br />service installation and their maintenance, Water Treatment Plant Operator and Plant <br />Manager, and Currently District Manager. <br /> <br />I hold a: <br /> <br />Class A Water Treatment License <br />Class III Distribution License <br />Water Cad Distribution System Certification <br /> <br />I have helped in the design and managed construction of several major construction <br />proj ects the District has completed~ <br /> <br />1 . Design and construction of our Water Treatment Plant <br />A. First Phase 1978 - 1 MGD <br />B. Second Phase 1989 additional - 4 MGD <br />2 Design and planning for Installation of water mains throughout the District <br />for 1980 to 2000. <br />3 Design and construction of a 2.5 MG steel storage tank and related <br />distribution system improvements in 2000 <br />4 Design and Re-construction of OUf 600 acre foot raw water storage <br />reservoir to 1800 acre feet in 2002 thru 2004 <br />5 Design and construction of a 30 inch raw water transmission line and raw <br />water measurement equipment for water rights diversion in 2003 <br />6 Design and construction of raw water measurement for water rights <br />diverted on cottonwood creek in Buena Vista, CO. in 2006 <br />
