INTRODUCTION
PROJECT GOALS
The goal of this project was to provide a recreational area to enable visitors and
townspeople to appreciate their local river, a space for riparian education, and a restored
river channel to provide habitat for fish and other wildlife.
NFRIA received approval for $5,000 from the the Colorado Watershed Protection Fund
(CWPF) grants program in 2004 for this project. Following delays with restoration
funding, the scope of work was revised to enable the Association to use CWPF money to
open the park to the public without the restoration and education componants.
OBJECTIVES, and ACTIVITIES
Planned and Actual Tasks, Products and Completion Dates
TASK 1: Field s~r~vey of existing
topograBhy aid conditions
Not yet complete
TASK 2: P~•oject desigyr aj~zd
enginee~ijig
Not yet complete
;~~
• ~- ~,,
~; ' ,.~
;~ $ ,~ n,
Public access facilities design is
complete.
