He provided input on the state's
regulatory process and shared valuable experience he has in developing watershed plans
in other areas of the state.
Jim Saunders provided guidance on the state's plans to adopt nutrient standards. He
reviewed the lake nutrient criteria proposed to the state's Nutrient Criteria Workgroup
and discussed the inclusion of these recommendations into the Management Plan.
FEDERAL AGENCIES
Water quality data collected by USGS and USBR were included in the Management
Plan. USEPA also conducts laboratory analysis on data that were included in the plan.
Tine Laidlaw with EPA provided expert opinion on how to apply EPA's recommended
nutrient criteria to the Big Thompson Watershed. Todd Bolt, USDA-NRCS, provided
valuable input on the role the farming community can play in meeting nutrient
standards.
LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
The Forum works closely with local governments on many of our projects.
