Allyn Wind reviewed all
fields along the Beaver Creek from road K north to Upper Platte and Beaver on the first day. Dave Wager and
Nick ?? reviewed the maps on the second day. Dave reviewed irrigated lands on Beaver Creek south of road K
and Nick reviewed Badger and Sand Arroyo Creeks. Their comments are on maps Dist 1 FRM I-11-3 and Dist 1
F1tM I-16.
These creeks do not have perennial flaws. In fact, Dave commented that this year (2004) was the firstyear since
the 1960's that there was surface water in Beaver Creek. All lands farmed are either irrigated with groundwater
wells "GW" or sub irrigated. It becomes quite difficult to separate which lands are irrigated and not irrigated due
to the marginal well yields and the subirrigated areas. Many of the lands that were delineated as irrigated are
actually subin-igated or dryland farms. The non-irrigated lands have blue marker "X's" or black ink "X's"
through them, which include the dryland and subirrigated farms. The blue marker or black in checks on the field
are verified irrigated fields. The "DL" label on the maps are dryland.
There were several fields that were irrigated in 2001, but not since then. There are many fields that use GW to
flood irrigate in this area, but are slowly being replaced by sprinkler irrigation. Mast of the irrigation on Beaver
Creek occurs north of CR A. On Badger and Sand Arroyo Creeks the only irrigation occurs north of CR I. There
is an impoundment reservoir on Sand Arroyo Creek, but is not used far irrigation. The lands below the reservoir
are subirrigated. The edits far Sand Arroyo and Badger Creeks are on Dist 1 F1ZM I-16.
Allyn also gave us a copy of the well locations in the Badger Beaver Augmentation plan. These are in L7TM
coordinates; the projection is either NAD 27 or NAD 83. Jahn Scott with Anderson Consulting Engineers in Fart
Collins could clarify this. Allyn did not know that information.
Page 1of 156 ~ Ar verside 7echnoYogy rna_
Page 25 of 55 ~Rlyerslde FecAno[o`(!~Y Inc.
4'JaYer Resourer..s Errgi~ecr:np an~i L'ansuFlrnd
