MEMO -TASK 91, APPENDIX 8
have relatively few decreed wells. The permitted wells in Division 1 are attributed as Division 8.
Division 8 represents the designated ground water basins. No decreed wells are present in these locations.
The permitted irrigation wells greater than 50 gpm were matched to irrigated parcels using StateDGI.
The permitted wells were matched to irrigated parcels in the designated basins using the same approach as
above. All of the parcels are irrigated by ground water only and were attributed as such. Common center
pivot units were assigned and StateDGI was run. The `We1lParcel' table was edited as before and
appended to the first `We1lParcel' table. Within the `We1lParcel' table, the type of well can be
determined by looking at the `Perm Date' and the `Appr_Date' attributes. If the `Perm Date' is
populated the well is a permitted well If the `Appr_Date' is populated the well is a decreed well.
After using RTi matched irrigated parcels to well permits in HydroBase, the SEO suspected that the well
permit records do not represent unique well permits. In order to eliminate duplicate well permits recorded
in HydroBase, the SEO devised a methodology for selecting only unique well permits. RTi will use this
methodology to select unique records from HydroBase and rematch irrigated parcels to well permits to be
delivered in a subsequent version. Appendix F contains the memo written by the SEO describing the
methodology.
Initial delivery of the irrigated parcels contained well match classes of type 6. This was used to define
any well parcel match that was done using user supplied information on non-specific ground water use.
After review of this delivery the State requested that the type 6 matches be reclassified to describe the
parcel's geographic relationship to the well. Following discussion with the State, the type 6 well classes
were divided into type 7, 8, and 9, which follow the same definitions as type 1, 2, and 4. Table B.1
describe the class definitions.
Page 21 of 55 ~Rlyerslde FecAno[o`(!~Y Inc.
4'JaYer Resourer..s Errgi~ecr:np an~i L'ansuFlrnd
