INFORMIX files, including create statements, insert statements, and INFORMIX ASCII downloads for <br />the above data are located in . <br />/crdss/data/div4/reservoir <br />Reservoir Elevation vs. Surface Area and Storage Characteristics <br />Reservoir elevation versus storage characteristics include values corresponding to the amount of storage <br />for a given reservoir elevation. These data are needed to operate the water rights planning model. <br />These data were extracted from the CRAM model data file: <br />/crdss/gunmod/utils/ <br />. The dead storage attribute is entered in the reservoir table, while the area capacity data <br />cramout.txt <br />are found in the table. The CRAM model on ly recognizes major reservoirs, so <br />area_cap_table <br />values were entered only for the following reservoirs: Blue Mesa, Crawford, Overland, Paonia, Silver <br />Jack, and Taylor. These reservoirs were identified in the State's database by structure name. Since these <br />are major reservoirs, there is little chance of error in identification. However, one subtle error does exist. <br />The CRAM model groups three separate State identified reservoirs under one name. Under Blue Mesa, <br />the CRAM model groups attributes for three reservoirs: Blue Mesa, Morrow Point, and Crystal. These <br />three reservoirs are located in-line together. Flow information is recorded through Blue Mesa alone. <br />The CRAM model only recognizes Blue Mesa, so the data are entered under the State-identified Blue <br />Mesa reservoir. No data are entered for the Morrow Point or Crystal reservoirs. <br />INFORMIX files, including create statements, insert statements, and INFORMIX ASCII down-loads for <br />the above data, are located in on <br />/crdss/data/div4/reservoir crdss4.crdss. <br />. <br />colostate.edu <br />Structure Capacity <br />Demand nodes are structures for diversion, storage, or measurement of surface water flow. Most of the <br />nodes are demand nodes that are used to divert water to irrigated fields. Demand node characteristics are <br />the water volumes that can flow through a demand node during a given time. These data are needed to <br />operate the CU and water rights planning models. <br />3.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The physical characteristics data types identified in Phase I have been populated in response to the <br />modeling tasks with an emphasis on the Gunnison River basin.
