In the Phase I CRDSS Task Memorandum 1.14-1, it was recommended that the weather station sites be checked for representativeness. This memorandum will serve to meet that recommendation as it pertains to the upper stem of the Colorado River.

somewhat surrounded by the irrigated area west of the airport; therefore, its use is recommended for <br />the remaining area. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14010006, Garfield County. <br />The CULR used the Parachute weather station for this unit. The irrigated area in this unit is located <br />in two stream basins, Parachute Creek basin and Roan Creek basin. The closest weather station to <br />the Parachute Creek basin is Parachute and its use is recommended. The Altenbern weather station is <br />located in the Roan Creek basin and is nearer the irrigated area in this creek basin than the Parachute <br />station; therefore, its use is recommended for the Roan Creek basin. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14010006, Mesa County. <br />The CULR used the Parachute weather station for this unit. The irrigated area is in the Roan Creek <br />drainage; therefore, the Altenbern weather station should be used. <br />4.0 RESULTS <br />The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather stations recom mended for use in <br />CRDSS are listed in Table 5. <br />4 <br />12.3.96 12.09-14 - Walter <br />
