Anon-consumptive needs assessment working group was established to deg elop the parameters <br />of a grant request for anon-consumptive needs assessment Ken Neubecher, Rose Ann Sullivan. <br />Louis Meyer. Bn~ce Hutchins. Phil Overe~°nder, Ken Ransford, Tom Hilleke, and Lane Wyatt <br />volunteered to join this colmnittee <br />3. Tom Clark. Greg Trainor. Mark Fuller and Mike Wajeck formed an energy- needs assessment <br />committee to sh~dv energy eltraction impacts on Western Slope water. <br />January 22.2007 <br />1. The CBRT voted unanimously to send a letter to Governor Bill Ritter commending Russell <br />George's leadership in the roundtable process. <br />2. Ken Neubecher reported that a subcommittee met to discuss the non consumptive needs <br />assessment required by HB 1172 and listed 8 ~ueas the non-consumptive needs assessment <br />should coy er. <br />3. The 2006 Shoshone Reduction Agreement between Denver and Xcel energ~~ was discussed, with <br />presentations by Bill Bates, Randy Rhodes, Bill Sappington. Ken Neubecher, and David Graf. <br />Febnl<uv 26, 2007 <br />1. Chips Bam~, head of Denver Water, held a question and answer session with Eric Kuhn and <br />other parties regarding the cul7ent mediation between Denver Water and several Western Slope <br />water entities to address the Moffat fuming project, and the Blue River Decree. <br />2. Kirby Wvnn. USES, and Cathy Kav, Western Colorado Congress, discussed water requirements <br />for oil shale and mineral development on the Western Slope <br />3. Rick Brown. CWCB, discussed and suggested improvements to recent SB 179 grant <br />applications. <br />March 26.2007 <br />1. James Pritchett. CSU agricultural economist, discussed the impact to local tal revenues if <br />irrigated agricultural land is taken out of production when agricultural water uses are redirected <br />for municipal and industrial uses. <br />2. Eric Kuhn. Colorado River Water Consen-ation District, discussed the potential impact of global <br />warming on Colorado ~~- titer resources. and the need for Colorado to determine how it «,°ill <br />respond to a call on the river by lower basin states. <br />3. Ken Neubecher.
