~. Water .~vai~a~ility and Sustaina~i~ity
Since Phase ~ of the watershed Plan does not directly involve development, use, diversion or
manipulation of a speci~.c water resource, we do not believe that th~'s information is relevant to
this application. Although the water resources involved ~n this Plan include all of the waterways,
lakes and impoundments in the Roaring Fork watershed, those water resources will be affected
only to the extent that the Plan is implemented by the various governments, agencies and
individuals with jurisdiction aver those resources.
7. .~e~ated or relevant previous studies
Phase of the watershed Plan has identified a list of aver 50 previous studies and plans with
relevance to the Roaring Fork watershed. Many of these are being excerpted for inclusion in the
State of the watershed Report ar are being used as key references for that Report. That list is too
long to include in this application but is available for reference if necessary. Some key studies
include the following:
The Roaring Fork Conservancy's 2046 watershed Report
The Roaring Fork Conservancy's Streaim Flow Survey Report
Stream Health Initiative Roaring Fork Habitat Assessment
Roaring Fork and Fryingpan Rivers Nlulti~~lb~ ective Planning Proj ect
Raarin.g Fork Conservancy's Roaring Fork watershed Inventory
F~yingpanlROaring Fork Rivers Fishery Study
S. Addit~'onal.Information
It is important to note the partnerships that the Ruedi water and Power Authority has developed in
the course of undertaking the Roaring Fork watershed Plan. In addition to the Roaring Fork
Conservancy and the government members of the Authority, the following have provided assistance
in the form. of funding andlor in~kind services.
Gunnison County
U.S. Geological Survey
Colorado River water Conservation District
U.S. Forest Service
Coiorada Division of water Resources
The Nature Conservancy
Aspen Global Change Institute
P~SRI ~GIS and Mapping}
U.S. Hureau of Reclamation
South fast water Conservancy District
Coiorada Natural Heritage Program
we also want to note the overall budgetary structure for funding Phase II of the watershed Plan
since fuding the Reserve Account is only part of the total funding need. The following shows the
other funding sources for the budget provided above:
