. Rhonda Sandquist (Jackson Kelly) informed the group that the consulting
firm GEl was hired to review the Water Quality Appendix and that the
Watershed Authority will meet on February 18th to review the appendix.
Katie said that she will give her Water Quality Appendix comments to
Rhonda ASAP.
. March 2nd was decided on for the goal to have the Chapter 3 review
complete. Gary pointed out that since Chapters 1, 2, and 3 have been
seen by Cooperators before significant comments/changes are not
expected.
. Tom B. asked Eric about the schedule for the COE AFB (Alternative
Formulation Board). Eric said it is dependent on when the COE submits
the FR/EIS Chapters. The ABF needs 30-45 days to review them before
they are ready to meet. If they can meet by the end of April then a Draft
can go out for public comment by May with that closing by July. In
August, the COE Independent Technical Review team will review the
Preliminary Final. After the public comment period but before ITR the
Cooperators will have another chance to review the Chapters. Eric
reiterated the point that they are still shooting for the ROD in February of
2009.
. Tom B. said that he has heard that a public comment period of 45 days is
a short time for such a large project. Eric said that it is possible to extend
that time frame but he doesn't feel like it will be necessary. He added that
the schedule could be affected by how much public input they receive-if
it appears like they need to they can extend it by two weeks but probably
no more than that.
. Question from Rick to Eric: If Tetra Tech gives the COE Chapter 4 on
February 11 th how long wi II it take for Betty to roll it out to the
Cooperators? Betty and Eric will be gone the 13th and 14th but they think
they should be able to have Chapter 4 back to Tetra Tech the week of
February 18th. Tetra Tech will then turn around and get it out to
Cooperators by the end of February.
. Brooke Fox (Chatfield Basin Conservation Network) wanted to remind the
attendees that there is a tour of Chatfield on February 4th at 10:00 am.
The purpose of the tour is to inform Cooperators about the impacts of the
reallocation.
. Karen Sitoski (CO E) asked Betty what elevation above the 5,444 foot pool
will be required for relocating facilities. Betty answered that the high water
elevation for relocated facilities should be 5,447.2 feet. Dave was not sure
what elevation EDAW used for their relocation estimates and added that
he will need to coordinate with them to see if they need to change their
estimates. Dave will have to take a look at the estimates and see if it
impacts mitigation.
. Betty added that the 50-year elevation for the 5,444 foot alternative is
5471.3 feet. Facilities will have to be relocated above this elevation.
. The 50-year elevation for the 5,437 foot alternative is 5,446.8 feet.

2

Tetra Tech
