The flow pattern around the closed low can be sccn in the Wind barb <br />orientations and also in the cloud pattern where coldcr topped cloud band.. appeared to spiral around <br />the low. In Fig. 4 the research area was being affected by one: of these bands By 1700 in Fig 5 the <br />colder cloud tops v.'ere mainly ca<;t of the project area, and winds were becoming more northcrly as <br />the low continued to track eastward.
