<br />The City has implemented outdoor conservation programs as well. Commercial and schools are <br />targeted for free irrigation audits. As this program is so new, no water savings have been <br />estimated but will be in 2008. The Parks Department has retrofitted sprinkler heads and planted <br />several Xeriscape gardens. Numerous adult and student educational effolis round out the City's <br />current conservation efforts. <br /> <br />Future Conservation Programs <br />In 2008, the City will be giving away 500, dual flush toilets. Funded by a CWCB grant, this <br />program is estimated to save 8.2 million gallons. Other recommended programs and measures <br />include: <br />. ET controller/Soil Moisture Sensor Rebate <br />. Commercial pre-rinse sprayer give away <br />. Water treatment plant backwash and wastewater reuse <br />. Systematic leak detection <br /> <br />In conclusion <br />The Water Conservation Plan will serve to guide conservation efforts for the City of North glenn <br />for years to come. The document outlines where we have been, where we need to be and ways <br />to achieve the stated water savings goal. The Plan is an essential part of the recently developed <br />Integrated Water Resources Plan. These documents will help lead Northglenn to a sustainable <br />water future. The City wishes to acknowledge the Water Conservation Board's financial <br />assistance. <br />
