<br />Page 30 <br /> <br />off duty periods will be guaranteed within any 14 consecutive <br />calendar days for all personnel. These will not necessarily be <br />contiguous. Off days will be determined by the Bureau site <br />coordinator and will usually be during periods when storm con- <br />ditions are not anticipated. <br /> <br />Intensive research periods may be conducted anytime during the <br />period 0500 to 2300 m.s.t. These are defined as those times when <br />storm conditions are present and intensive aircraft and ground <br />measurements are being made. <br /> <br />Each afternoon or early evening, the Bureau site coordinator <br />(Jack McPartland) and the NAWC supervisor (John Thompson) will <br />hold an outlook planning conference to plan potential activities <br />for the following day. During this meeting the following will be <br />revi ewed: <br /> <br />1. The weather outlook from forecast materials and satellite <br />photographs available through the Prescott FSS (Federal <br />Aviation Administration Flight Service Station). <br /> <br />2. Status and availability of all equipment and personnel. <br /> <br />3. Potential tasks which could be accomplished given all <br />constraints imposed by 1 or 2 above. <br />
