ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

l. The Bureau of Reclamation, Division of Atmospheric Water Resources Management,
has given valuable assistance in describing the problem and suggesting sources
of data, as well as in providing information and contacts with Regional Offices.
2. The various U. S. Bureau of Reclamation Regional Offices have offered and pro-
vided hydrologic data as needed.
3. Professor L. O. Grant of Colorado State University, has provided data and
discussion of experimental data useful in the meteorological analysis.
4. The U. S. Geological Survey has provided streamflow data, including preliminary
data before publication, in most watersheds analyzed. The State District
Offices have been extremely helpful in poviding this information.
5. The California Department of Water Resources has provided streamflow, preci-.
pitation, and snowpack data for watersheds in California.
6. The U. S. Soil Conservation Service has provided snowpack data for watersheds
in all western states with the exception of California. In addition, state
conservationists in the various states have provided maps and annual and
~
.seasonal precipitation in most states in this study.
7. The State Engineers Offices in several states have provided maps of precipita-
tion, topography and geologic information.
8. The California State Library through the El Dorado County Library, has pro-
vided access to a considerable amount of precipitation, streamflow, and other
data required in this analysis.
9. Professor Morel-Seytoux and his staff at the Colorado State University have
provided a considerable amount of basic data and other ipformation pertinent
to hydrologic analysis in this report.

.
.
ii .
.
-
