Twenty propos- <br />als were accepted, and others are under <br />consideration for next year. From Novem- <br />ber 1991 to March 1993, 18 of 20 plarmed <br />test sections were constructed. To ade- <br />quately represent constructability and <br />construction costs, each test section had a <br />length between 300 and 1000 feet and an <br />area of about 5,000 ft2. The research pro- <br />ject has cost $3.2 million to date.
