water. TheCity’s current supply of C-BTwateris 5,137 acre feet. The maximum amount of C- <br />BT water the City of Fort Morgan can own is 7,000 units based on population and population <br />projections. This amount can be expanded if the City applies for it and shows need and cause. <br />The City has been a participantin the Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP) which is <br />managed by the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. The NISP Project is an 11 <br />year project which begins in 2007 to increase quantity and reliability of future water supplies for <br />the participants. The project goal is to provide up to 40,000 acre feet of new reliable municipal <br />water supply annually. The City of Fort Morgan’s yield request is 3,600 acre feet which <br />composes 9% of the project.
