<br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Source of Water Supply <br /> <br />The District currently relies on the Colorado - Big Thompson, or C-BT project where water is <br />diverted from the western slope of Colorado to the Front Range to supplement the region's <br />native water supply. It is the largest transmountain water diversion project in Colorado. <br />Recently, ELCO secured senior agricultural water rights that will be the subject of a change-of- <br />use application in Water Court. The various water rights currently owned by ELCO and the <br />approximate yield of those water rights are listed in Table 3,,1. <br /> <br />Table 3.1 lists only the water rights owned or available by contract to the District. ELeQ's two <br />wholesale customers have their own water rights and are required by contract to transfer a <br />portion of the water they own each year to satisfy their annual treated water demand. <br /> <br />Table 3.
