Application for Water Efficiency Grant: Landscape Demonstration Garden Applicant: East Larimer County Water District 232 S. Link Lane Fort Collins CO 80524 Contact: Melissa Tremelling, Senior Billing Specialist 970-493-2044 melissat@elcowater .org: East Larimer County (BLeQ) Water District is a water provider in the Northern Colorado Front Range that faces the challenges of high growth and limited water supplies while striving to effectively meet its customer water demands. ELCO understands the importance of water conservation and is committed to optimizing its water supplies and system through practical water conservation practices.. A revised water conservation plan was adopted July 17th, 2007 by ELeQ's Board of Directors, and is waiting approval from the Colorado Water Conservation Board~ One of the goals set forth in that plan is to provide a convenient example of how cost effective and aesthetically pleasing xeric landscape can be. To achieve this goal, the district proposes to install a landscape demonstration garden on property the District owns. This garden would demonstrate diverse water efficient landscape designs to educate the consumer and further promote water conservation. The East Larimer County Water District is a covered entity as defined in the Guidelines and is eligible to submit the below application. The requested information is provided as follows: A copy of the "Order and Decree Creating the District" is provided as Attachment 1, and the organizational chart is provided on Attachment # 2.
