<br />Project Tasks <br /> <br />The following tasks outline the major actions needed to install and initiate operation of the <br />landscape demonstration garden.. <br /> <br />Taskl <br /> <br />Planning: and Design (Complete) <br /> <br />The District hired a professional Landscape Architect who developed a conceptual design and <br />budget for the demonstration garden.. Although the District hired an Architect to prepare the <br />design, ELeD currently' bas very limited funding available for construction. <br /> <br />The Architect prepared the design plan shown on Attachment #3. The Architect conducted a <br />site visit to assess site features and identify site opportunities and constraints. The d~'gn was <br />then crosschecked in the field to confirm the general locations of utilities, significant trees, and <br />other natural features. In addition, the Architect and staff noted natural access points and <br />desirable and undesirable views.. Attal"hment #4 shows the location, of the property ~ <br /> <br />Task 2 <br /> <br />Site Work <br /> <br />Site. work needed to prepare the garden includes: <br /> <br />· Removal of existing landscap'ing and sprinkler system <br />· New grading and soil preparation <br /> <br />Task 3 <br /> <br />Base Plaotinr and Irription <br /> <br />The first step is the installation of the irrigation equipment following the landscape design <br />produced in the planning process.. Thent plants will be delivere,d and, planted in accordance to <br />the design. Various mulches to be demonstrated will be applied to' the garden. Finally, six <br />different sod types will be installed.. <br /> <br />Task,4 <br /> <br />Education and Community Outreach Materials <br /> <br />· Educational materials need to be developed for site visitors <br />· Guide to references and other sources <br />· 'Plan for publicity J including grand opening and ongoing communications <br /> <br />Water Efficiency Grant: Landscape Demonstration Garden <br />East Larimer County Water District. <br /> <br />12 <br />
