<br />fornia site survey, a 40-foot telescoping mast
<br />was used to set the anemometers at about 12
<br />meters above the ground. Icing and mechanical
<br />problems associated with the masts caused some
<br />concern, and gradually the masts were replaced
<br />with the 6.86-meter masts that were originally
<br />used with the PROBE units.
