'. \

.

.

.

Division Engineer for such use. Exhibit E-l s~ts out the
number of acre-feet which would be required on the assumption
that a valid senior call would exist for 365 days during 1974.
Applicant has reduced this amount, as described more fully in
Exhibit E-2, by taking into account the fOllowing factors:
. (a) The lack of any call from January 1 through
April 1, 1974.
(b) The varying probability of a call for dif-
ferent periods during the remainder of 1974, translated
into an estimate of the total number of days on which there
may be a valid senior call.
(c) Application of the rule permitting two days
per week of pumping without curtailment.
(d) Elimination of the replacement requirements
of Reach 1 if lower river is excluded from augmentation
plan.
Accordingly, Applicant proposes to commit 4,000 acre-feet of
water to the Division Engineer for Water Division No. 2 as a
reserve for use at rates not to exceed those shown in Exhibit
0-6, during periods of a valid senior call, for delivery losses
and for insurance against shortages in the event that calls
are more frequent than projected.
12. The Association is presently in the process of
investigating or acquiring water from different sources to be
used in this plan for augmentation. It is not now able to say
exactly how much water will be provided from any source, and
needs to retain the flexibility to acquire water, usable in the
plan for augmentation, wherever it can.. The Association will
present evidence to the Water Court as it secures the right to
water from particular sources and will demonstrate its ability
to provide the total amount of water required.
13. By way of illustration, Applicant is developing
the following sources of augmentation water:
(a) Frying Pan-Arkansas storage. The Associa-
