In particular, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Alert Level = Research experiments an~ presently underway. <br />Alert Level 2 = Research experiments may commence within 6 hr. <br />Alert Level 3 = Research experiments may com mence within 12 hr. <br />Alert Level 4 = Research experiments may commence within 24 hr. <br />Alert Level 5 = No research experiments will occur within next 24 hr. <br />Alert Level 6 = No research experiments will occur within next 48 hr. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />At any given time different Alert Levels may apply to the Seeding <br /> <br />Material Delivery Tracking Experiments and to the Cloud Physics and <br /> <br />Kinematics Experiments. <br /> <br />Interpretation of the Alert Levels is as <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />follows. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Alert Levell: Research data collection is presentl y underway. I n this <br />case the briefing may be attended by only a fraction of <br />all the field personnel. Those not in attendance should <br />be on station collectin~J data and will receive the <br />results of the briefing via radio or telephone com- <br />munications. Rawinsondes are launched every 3 hr. The <br />Alert Level is updated every three hours. Every three <br />hours an outlook is provided by the appropriate coor- <br />dinator for continuation of the data collection for <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />various time periods in the future. <br /> <br />This outlook is <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />important because it permits personnel to plan and also <br /> <br />to schedule some rest. <br />17 <br /> <br />. <br />
