.

data are gathered, while Dr. Long will ensure that appropriate C~band
Doppler radar supporting wind information is gathered.
Some coordination will be requir~d of the several research groups
participating in the Cloud Physics and Kinematics Experiments. Each
group is expert in its own area and will be responsible for all deci-
sions regarding its instrumentation and collection of its field data.
Nevertheless, each group is fully cognizant of the experimental objec-
tives of the field program Clnd understands that collection of joint data
sets with the diverse instll"umentation is an important aspect of the
program. Coordination of the joint data collection will be the respon-
sibility of Dr. Long. WhenE!ver rawinsonde or other meteorological sup-
port data are required Dr. Long will consult with Mr. Swart who is in
charge of that part of the program.
b. Work schedule. The daily work schedule will in most (but not
all) cases be set at the morning briefing. The briefing will begin at
0900 MST (1600 GMT) at the Field Headquarters. The briefing will con-
sist of:
1) discussion of curnmt weather and weather forecasts for the
Seeding Material Delivery Experiments and for the Cloud Physics
and Kinematics Expl:!riments.
2) instrumentation and personnel status reports from participating
groups,
3) logistics matters,
4) other matters,
5) decisions on conduct of the Seeding Material Delivery
Experiments and Cloud Physics and Kinematics Experiments by the
respective Coordinators in consultation with the groups involved.

.

.

.

..

.

.

.

.

.

-16-

.
