<br />Tvpe of Project: Reconnaissance and feasibility study of Arkansas Valley Pipeline,
<br />which would provide water to public and private water supply entities in the Arkansas
<br />Valley
<br />
<br />Location: From below Pueblo Reservoir to Lamar including water providers in Bent,
<br />Crowley, Otero, Prowers and Pueblo counties
<br />
<br />Project Description: The Scope of Work for the study proposes a two-step process
<br />beginning with reconnaissance investigations and, assuming the reconnaissance results
<br />are favorable, a detailed feasibility analysis for the Arkansas Valley Pipeline Project. The
<br />pipeline would supply water from the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project to municipalities and
<br />other water providers in the counties along the Arkansas River east of Pueblo Reservoir
<br />to Lamar.

<br />Schedule: After a consultant selection process, the study is expected to be completed in
<br />about one year
<br />
<br />Total Estimated Cost: $200,000 with 50 percent of the funding to be provided by the
<br />District and local water suppliers and the remaining 50 percent from a Constmction Fund
<br />grant
