partnering with the Colorado Water Conservation Board to promote water
conservation, and foster a respect for our limited water resources. The Colorado
Watershed Network and Project WET welcome your support and 'partnership as we
strive to increase the awareness, appreciation, understanding and stewardship of
Colorado's precious water resources.

2. List of organ,izations and/or individuals including those hired that will assist in
performing the "Project" and their role and contribution.

I. Colorado Watershed Network (CWN):
A. Overview: Project Sponsor. This agency \vill provide administration, supervision
and support for Project WET, the Project WET Coordinator, and the Regional
Water Education Specialist in Colorado. CWN will manage the project budget.
B. Colorado Project WET Coordinator: This position, housed at the Colorado
Watershed Net\vork, will participate as a leader in water education efforts
statewide and serve as a representative of Colorado at the national level. This
position will coordinate and support facilitator activities and provide water
education materials atld resources to educators throughout Colorado.
C. Regional Water Education Specialist: This new half-time position will work
with the Project WET Coordinator to develop sustainable partnerships to ensure
that teachers in Western Colorado have access to Project WET workshops and
water ed,ucation resources. Educatio'n Specialist will adapt materials to be locally
specific and relevant to water inW estern Colorado.
D. Volunteer Facilitators: Facilitators are the trained and certified volunteers who
conduct Project WET workshops and provide water education to teachers in their
local communities. There are currently over 100 facilitators within the state4
Facilitators are often educators themselves or professionals in the field of water or
natural resources. These facilitators are also trained as facilitators of Projects
WILD and Learning Tree (PL T).
E. River Watch: This program, which is also implemented by CWN, will share its
extensive teacher database with Coordinator and Education Specialist to aid in
recruitment of new teachers. When, appropriate River Watch and Project WET
will coordinate combined trainings.
II. Major Partners:
A. Project WET USA Foundation: Will provide Project WET resources and
materials to the Colorado Project WET Coordinator for distribution. Facilitates
communication and collaboration 'between state Coordinators and offers advanced
training opportunities at annual Coordinators Conference.
B. Colorado Water Conservation Board (eWeR): CWCB is the major
contributor to Colorado Project WET, providing monetary support to sustain the
program.CWCB has also partnered with CWN to spearhead the Colorado Water
Education Task Force, and CWN provides assistance to all nine Basin
Roundtables in their non-consumptive needs assessments. CWCB will continue to
make connections with interested members of the water conservation community
so that Project WET may assist with education obligations outlined in water
