Lower Arkansas: <br />In the lower stretch of the Upper Arkansas River, the relationships with flow and <br />HCI were notable stronger than the upper portions of the basin. The AMO and PDO had <br />much firmer relationships with the multi-year flow than the stretch from the headwaters <br />to Salida. These two factors may want to be combined in some form to potentially <br />improve a potential outlook. <br />Entire Stretch (‘Leadville to Pueblo Reservoir’): <br />The AMO (negative/more flow) relationship once again, has some non-random <br />relationship. In addition, there is a tendency for ENSO (El Nino/more flow) to exist. A <br />combined comparison of these two factors might be looked at to see if an improved <br />relationship exists. <br />34 <br />
