January 7, 2008
3. Proposed Presentations to Eastern Slope Basin Roundtables
Michelle Pierce said she had contacted Gary Barber from the Arkansas, Doug Scott from the Metro,
and Bill Jerke from the South Platte Roundtables regarding a visit by the GBRT to give a
presentation at their respective meetings. Michelle said that all were very gracious, open and
accepting to the suggestion. Michelle also suggested that the IBCC representatives (Marc Catlin and
Bill Trampe) contact their counterparts in these Front Range Roundtables.
Randy See said he was still working on a 20 (or so) minute presentation, and that he hoped to have a
draft for the next GBRT meeting. Michelle said that she would put it on the Agenda to have the
Roundtable to review the presentation at the next meeting.
John McClow suggested that a committee be formed to do these presentations. It was suggested that
the committee be made up of the IBCC representatives, Roundtable officers, and 2 or 3 other
interested people. It was decided to call the new committee the "Interbasin Communications
Committee" and the members will be: Bill Trampe, Marc Catlin, Michelle Pierce, Mike Berry, Hugh
Sanburg, John McClow, Randy See and Olen Lund.
4. Roundtable Membership
Hugh Sanburg said that the By-Laws Committee had met and discussed whether Redlands Water
and Power Company could be allowed as a voting member. It was determined that due to
constraints statutory limits on the number of at-large and appointed voting members allowed, the
only way Redlands Water and Power Company could have a voting seat would be to fill a vacant at-
large seat, which at that time were all filled. Ute Water could appoint Chuck Mitisek to the
Roundtable in place of Bob Gobbo if they wish.
Mike Berry's motion that was tabled at the last meeting will be addressed at the next meeting.
5. Bylaws
Hugh Sanburg told the Roundtable that the By-Laws Committee did not find any immediate need to
changes to the By-Laws at this time.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Gunnison Basin Roundtable will be February 4, 2007.
Adjourn
There being no further business to come before the Roundtable, the meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm.
Mike B erry, Recorder
4
