Application for Water Efficiency Grant Program: Colorado Watershed Network <br />3. New Facilitator Mentoring Program_ Coordinator will develop New <br />Facilitator Mentoring Program to provide continuing support to new <br />facilitators after New Facilitator Training. Coordinator and Specialist will <br />connect new facilitators with master facilitators for mentorship <br />opportunities; provide assistance with logistics for workshop planning, <br />advertising and teacher recruitment, etc. Ongoing. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 8,800 (200 hours @ 80% of $SS/hr rate) - <br />Coordinatorand Specialist <br />CWN Match: $ 2,200 (20% of hourly rate) <br />4. Remove Barriers to Participation- Coordinator and Specialist will address <br />barriers to teachers participating in Project WET workshops and <br />implementation of Project WET activities in the classroom and engage <br />current Project WET teachers, facilitators, and others interested in water <br />education. Continually assess barriers to teacher participation using <br />workshop evaluation forms and compilation of database findings. Rectify <br />possible barriers in partnership with facilitators and regional partners. This <br />task will operate in tandem with task II.A.2.Ongoing. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 8,800 (200 hours @ 80% of $55/hr rate) - <br />Coordinator and Specialist <br />CWN Match: $ 2,200 (20% of hourly rate) <br />B. Support existing volunteer facilitators and teachers <br />1. Facilitator Support- Coordinator and Specialist will communicate with <br />existing facilitators by mail, a-mail and in person at conferences regarding <br />program changes and updates, to present the latest information and <br />materials in the field of water education, and to provide workshop <br />materials and feedback mechanisms. Encourage facilitators to offer <br />themed workshops highlighting regional water concerns. Coordinator will <br />provide facilitators with water-related workshop prizes and giveaway <br />items, children's books and water resource publications to enhance <br />workshops and provide teachers with additional tools to teach about water. <br />This task will be ongoing throughout grant duration. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 4,440- educational materials (books, <br />publications, teaching tools and <br />workshop prizes) to enable facilitators to <br />better train teachers. <br />$ 13,200 (300 hours @ 80% of $55/hr rate)- <br />Coordinator and Specialist will familiarize <br />existing facilitators in new Project WET and <br />other water education resources. <br />CWN Match: $ 3,300 (20% of hourly rate} <br />2. Coordination of Facilitator Stipends- Volunteer facilitators who are <br />leading workshops on their personal time have the option of charging $10 <br />per workshop participant as a stipend for planning and facilitating a <br />Project WET workshop.
