It is for this reason that we strongly support the Colorado Watershed <br />Network's proposal for funding to support Project WET in Colorado and provide water education <br />materials and training to Colorado educators. <br />_.,~_;` <br />The City of Loveland is committed to providing first rate water education for its teachers this year. <br />We will be partnering with Project WET and the Colorado Watershed Network to offer trainings <br />have committed to providing $5,000 in matching funds to sponsor a Project WET workshop in the <br />summer of 2008 for teachers in our community. We will work with the Project WET Coordinator <br />to schedule field trips and guest speakers to augment the workshop and provide teachers with an <br />in-depth understanding of water in the City of Loveland. <br />This sponsored Project WET workshop is a good fit with, and serves to enhance, our current water <br />education program. This Project WET workshop will also help the City of Loveland meet its <br />stormwater permit education requirements and water conservation education goals. <br />Water education is critical for the youth and adults of our community. Please support this <br />important education program in Colorado.
