Application for Water Efficiency Grant Program: Colorado Watershed Network <br />CDOW Match: $ 16,000 (1/3 hard costs of producing and <br />publishing 6 issues, distributed to <br />approximately 18,000 teachers statewide) <br />V. Program Administration <br />Responsible Parties: CWN and Coordinator <br />CWNMatch: Our $55/hr rate includes a portion for administration and <br />overhead, approximately 15%. As part of the 20% discount provided to <br />CWCB in this grant, CWN is waiving a portion of the administrative fee. <br />A. Budget & operations- provide general oversight of project and budget. <br />B. Dispersal of funds- manage incoming checks, payroll, invoices, etc. <br />C. Grant reporting obligations- reporting, including the mid-term project report <br />in June 2009, the 95% Project completion report in May of 2010 and the final <br />project report in June 2010. <br />D. Determine long-range strategy- Significant partnerships have been made <br />with water providers and other agencies to offer sponsored Project WET <br />workshops to local educators. The sponsor covers the cost of all materials, <br />meals and continuing education credits that teachers would normally incur in <br />a professional development workshop. Sponsors also help determine the focus <br />of the workshop, assist the Coordinator in advertising and recruiting teachers, <br />finalize logistics, and coordinate guest speaker and field trips to enhance the <br />workshop. Sponsored workshops have been planned in 2008 with the Douglas <br />County Water Resource Authority, the Great Western Institute, City of <br />Loveland, City of Greeley, City of Evans and Weld County. It is expected that <br />these sponsored workshops will be recurring on an annual or biannual basis <br />dependent on budgetary constraints of the sponsoring agency. <br />New partners are expected to come to the table, including further <br />contributions from urban stormwater permit holders, water providers, <br />watershed groups and agricultural interests. The Colorado Watershed Network <br />is committed to developing a long range implementation and funding strategy <br />to secure the future for Project WET in Colorado. Building long-term <br />relationships with the Colorado Department of Natural Resources and other <br />partners is an essential component of this sustainability plan. <br />Page 11 <br />
