This matter will be discussed at the Board meeting. <br />UPPER COLORADO RIVER RECOVERY IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM <br />RECOVERY ACTION PLAN -The Program Director's office has drafted the RIPRAP revisions and <br />Program Assessment which are now in the technical review process. These documents will come to the <br />Management Committee for review in advance of the March 31 Management Committee meeting and we <br />anticipate the RIPRAP revisions and Assessment will be approved at the March 315c meeting. Subsequent <br />to the Program's annual Assessment of the RIPRAP, the Service will conduct its annual review of <br />Program activities to determine if "Sufficient Progress" continues to be adequate for the Program to serve <br />as a reasonable and prudent alternative for jeopardy opinions in the Section 7 consultation process. The <br />Service intends to complete this review by late spring this year (with a draft expected in April). <br />COLORADO RIVER WATER AVAILABILITY STUDY -The Colorado River Water <br />Availability Study request for qualifications (RFQ) was advertised on February 28, 2008. The same <br />advertising was posted in the Denver Post on March 6, 2008. The following is the schedule for the <br />contractor selection process. We are hopeful we will have a contractor under contract by mid-June. This high flow would be followed by 5-years of ROD flows <br />(MLFF) except during September and October when the flows would remain steady. The experiment was <br />developed based on science gathered through the research done as part of the GCAMP. The purpose of <br />this experiment is test whether or not dam operations done in this manner can: (1) remove or reduce <br />~20~ <br />
