R C~^u~ipton: Why aren't we implementing these inspection measures at all lakes? Answer: we <br />are educating at all lakes but focusing inspections on highest priorities in the state with those <br />measures. <br />P. Binney: Is this the only place this money is available? Will the money be replaced? <br />H. SheNNUln: It won't be reimbursed. <br />E. Kuhn: We should grant the waiver. The issue of boats moving around nationwide. <br />A. Hamel: I appreciate IBCC consideration. <br />IBCC agreed to waive the 60-day requirement for CWCB grant submittal. <br />Education and Outreach Activities <br />R C~^u~ipton: Had a special meeting with the Educational RT liaisons. Report on network <br />analysis that was completed by the Water Policy Institute. Colorado was a test case and it <br />was a great effort. Water Law video is complete and was passed out to the IBCC. Try and <br />complete another video on Water Quality for roundtable education project. Discussed pilot <br />town hall meeting in Arkansas Basin. Town Hall meeting was impacted from a blizzard and <br />the town hall meetings have to be bottom up not top down. Steve Coffin, PR consultant - <br />discussed how to broaden the groups we interact with -how do we interact with public. <br />D. Scott: We have a nonbiased group (CFWE) each of our Roundtables should potentially fund <br />that group. Go back and chat with our Roundtable to see if we could work with CFWE to do <br />the education. <br />R C'NUmpton: IBCC is charged with completing with education on what is happening at the <br />IBCC level and Roundtable member education. That is a Roundtable decision. <br />E. Hecox: As we end this fiscal year and go towards the next fiscal year we'll put together a <br />scope of work for the public education and outreach activities. <br />Status of Basin-Wide Water Needs Assessments <br />If there are questions on materials sent out to the IBCC in January email the ibc~state.co.us and <br />we will get them answered and distribute to the group. <br />Confirm Additiona12008 Meeting Dates and Discuss Agenda Items <br />There is a conflict with the Gunnison Water Workshop. How many are planning to attend the <br />Gunnison Water Workshop? After a discussion, the IBCC agreed that its next meeting will be on <br />May 15ti' in Walden. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the North Platte Roundtable <br />meeting. North Platte Roundtable members are encouraged to attend the IBCC meeting and <br />IBCC members are encouraged to stay for the North Platte Roundtable meeting that evening. <br />13 <br />
