The District
has the right to store up to 28,100 AF of water in the Ridgeway Reservoir for municipal and
industrial use. Its main source of inflow is the Uncompahgre River. 990;{, of the Districts service
area is comprised of residential customers and approximately 1 % is mixed commercial and industry.
Due to their high residential population, their average total per-capita is low at 117 gpcd. Their
current retail water use is 2,455 acre/ft/year.According to Statewide Supply Initiative, Tri-County
has no identified gap for the foreseeable future, 2030, however, continued growth is projected to tap
water supplies after the year 2030, therefore, implementation of aW ater Conservation Plan, is
necessary since it will prolong the need, for development of new water resources for as long as
possible. Tri-County realizes the importance of water conservation; they plan for a 20% red, uction in
water use over the next 17 years, but more importantly, they plan to change behaviors, attitudes and
habits in regards to water use to achieve sustained savings over a long period of time. The
application is attached for your review.

The applicant is requesting $29,500 to aid in developing a Water Conservation, 'Plan that meets the
requirements outlined in SB 07-008. The applicant has demonstrated their financial ability to
provide 26% of the total project budget with matching funds in the form of $10,450 in-kind

Flood Protection.
