We have provided basic information for these projects in this Project Up- <br />date. For further information on how you can participate or receive copies of the documents as they be- <br />come available, please contact the person listed with that individual project. <br /> <br />This Project Update is for the time period of May, June, July, 1999. If any new projects come up during <br />before the next issue we will prepare a supplemental Project Update to keep you informed. <br /> <br />The environmental analyses may be documented with an Environmental Assessment (EA) and Decision <br />Notice (DN), and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Record of Decision (ROD), or be categori- <br />cally excluded (CE) from further documentation (if the project has no extraordinary circumstances and no <br />significant effect on the quality of the human environment). The issues you raise will help us conduct the <br />analysis and improve decision making. <br /> <br />GET INVOLVED! We are seeking your involvement in these analyses because Bureau of Land Man- <br />agement and National Forest System land is your land. It is your contribution of time and energy that helps <br />us make wise, balanced decisions about the management of your land and resources. <br /> <br />Comments received in response to this solicitation, including names and addresses of those who comment, <br />will be considered part of the public record on this proposed action and will be available for public inspec- <br />tion. Comments submitted anonymously will be accepted and considered; however, those who submit <br />anonymous comments will not have standing to appeal the subsequent decision under 36 CPR Parts 215 or <br />217. Additionally, pursuant to 7 CFR 1.27(d), any person may request the agency to withhold a submission <br />from the public record by showing how the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) permits such confidential- <br />ity. Persons requesting such confidentiality should be aware that, under the FOIA, confidentiality may be <br />granted in only very limited circumstances, such as to protect trade secrets.
