An example of the data sheet is included as fig. 2-2. Contact with
cooperators/contractors for i niti ati ng ground seedi ng wi 11 be documented on
the form shown in fig. 2-3. Post seeding followup will be noted on fig. 2-4.

Forecaster B will maintain the forecast office and be available for consulta-
tion during the period between October 1 and November 1, 1986, and during
January 9 to February 1, 1987. Forecasters wi 11 maintain continuous moni-
toring of the weather situations during the intensive field season and provide
updates, as necessary.

B. SUSPENS ION
SCpp applies suspension criteria to minimize either actual or apparent contri-
butions of seeding to potentially hazardous weather situations. The ability
of the SCPP to forecast and avoid seeding under hazardous conditions is very
important in limiting liability associated with the project and maintaining a
desirable public image. It should be emphasized that suspension of seeding
activities will not prevent other investigations from continuing, providing
personnel can continue to work safely.

Figure 2-5a,b are the forms that will be used during the season for daily
updating and documentation of conditions with respect to suspension criteria.
It is important for the forecaster to provide more frequent updates to the
Site Director for planning purposes. All other SCPP personnel should be alert
for situations that may require suspension of operations and forward pertinent
data to the Site Director as soon as possible.

In that SCPP will be seeding for the first time in the November-December time
frame snowpack data does not exist for determining suspension limits. Given
that this is early in the season, no suspension criteria for snowpack water

II-5
