AS

Priority will be given for aircraft operations to be conducted during the best
possible storm periods within those time periods not conflicting with ground
seeding operations. This will require flexibility in schedules but keeping
with the safe conduct of any operations conducted. The primary window for
aircraft operations will continue to be 0500 through 2200 daily. However, if
weather dictates, this schedule can be slipped upon mutual agreement of flight
crews and the SCPP Site Director. If an odd hour mission is conducted, the
next available flight window will again be mutually agreed to by both aircraft
flight crews and the SCPP Site Director. If aircraft are launched for sepa-
rate missions at different periods within the storm, notification will be
given to the Site Director as to their next available flight window for coor-
dinated aircraft operations. As in the past, common sense will be used to
assure project personnel adequate time off between missions to guarantee con-
tinued project personnel safety.

A forecast shi ft (A) between approximately 0530+ and 1430 shall be provided
(figure 2-1). On certain days, when an 0500 start time is anticipated, the
forecast shift (A) will begi n around 0200 and termi nate around 1300 (bottom
figure 2-1). A second forecast shift (B) beginning at 1330 and ending at 2200
will be required daily.

The contractor shall provide three types of forecasts. A general planning
forecast shall be given at 1030 via standup briefing up to 7 days per week
during the field season when no early morning flights are planned. The
planning forecasts will support overall project data collection and mainten-
ance activities. A more detailed operational update nowcastjforecast shall be

+ In this document times are expressed on a 24-hr clock.
