No.
Bill: Question: Is it not true that Counties are required to be at these
meetings? Is a county in violation of state law for not having someone
here?
Eric Hecox. "Required" is one way of reading statute; some counties will
not fill seats because they are so small; so State leaves that open... it does
not go away; this is different, as Jeff Co is not insigiuficant part of basin;
probably not a violation of state law but lots of good reasons to work with
colleagues in Jeff Coto have someone appointed.
Bill: need someone on Education Liaison committee:
Bert Weaver, John Stencil, Bob Streeter express interest and willingness;
Bert Weaver appointed.
Forrest Whitman: In our mountain county meeting we asked why would
Jeff Co do this. Would
be a good time to invite county experts. Private lands, reservoir
companies... need incentives to get all to participate.
• Lease/Fallowing Sub-Committee: Joe Frank: Met in January and in
February; presentation on Pritchard's study on survey to see interest in
lease/fallowing program: significant interest from ag conunuiuty;
discussed alternatives to permanent ag dry up; Regan Waskom had
