<br />included the counties of Bowman, and <br />of 1,528,320 acres. The base of <br />operations, radar, and aircraft was Bowman. The aircraft based in <br />Bowman included two Piper Twin-Comanche aircra.ft and a high <br />perform.ance Cessna 340. The Twin-Comanche aircraft were equipped <br />with two generators in which a silver iodide solution was burned <br />to create ice nuclei. The Cessna 340 was equipped for dispensing <br />dry ice as well as 20 gram silver iodide flares, and was capable <br />of seeding most clouds from the top, which has proven to be very <br />timely and effective for seeding most systems. <br />District II included the counties of MCKenzie/Mountrall, .and <br />Ward, a total of 4,361/600 acres. Operations and rada.r were ba.sed <br />in Parshall. Aircraft in District II included four Piper Twin- <br />Comanche aircraft based in Sidney , Mont.ana ; Watf,ord City, <br />Parshall, Minot (19.89), and Kenmare (1990) ,as well as a Cessna <br />340 based in Williston.
