City Council realizes that in <br />accordance with HB04-1365, having a State-approved Water Conservation Plan is a <br />prerequisite to seeking financial assistance from the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board (CWCB) or the Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority. <br />Although Salida is not a covered entity yet, it should reach 2,000 ac-ft of water demand <br />within four to five years. The City wants to make it a priority to implement water <br />conservation measures and programs as it grows. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City of Salida, Clear Water Solutions, Inc. is submitting this application <br />requesting planning grant money from CWCB to complete a water conservation plan. <br />The total cost to complete the plan is $38,708. The District proposes to match $9,013 <br />with in-kind services with a $700 cash contribution, which is 25.1 % of the total project. <br />The City requests a grant of $28,995 from CWCB. <br /> <br />Attached is Salida's application, which includes a statement from City Council that <br />demonstrates their commitment to implement effective long-term water savings <br />measures and programs. <br /> <br />Cordially, <br />Clear Water Solutions, Inc. <br /> <br />-~ ~ <br />~~~ ~..
