Gimbel <br />CWCB Director <br />Dan McAuliffe <br />CWCB Deputy Director <br />I am pleased to inforrn you that on January 23, 2008 t�e Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) <br />approved your loan request for Empire Reservoir East Embankment Dam Repair. The Board <br />approved a loan not to exceed $2,408,850 ($2,385,OO1� for project costs and $23,850 for the 1% Loan <br />Service Fee) with loan terms of 2.25% per annum for 30 years. Please note that the loan is conditioned <br />upon District's electi��n and voter approval of debt. ]: have attached a copy of the updated Board <br />memo that includes tY�e Board's approval. <br />When the Board approves a loan there remain several conditions: <br />a) Loan reasibility Studv: Anna Mauss has reviewed the study titled "Empire Reservoir <br />East Embankment Dam Emergency REpair Feasibility Study, November 29, 2007 ". <br />Modifications may be requested by Ms. Mauss via phone/fax or email in the next couple <br />weeks. The approved study, in combination with the CWCB Board Memo revised <br />January 30, 2008, will meet the require,ments of the CWCB Water Project Loan <br />Program Guidelines for loan feasibility studies. <br />b) Contracting: An approved contract mizst be in place before funds can be disbursed. <br />VaugYm MeWilliams will initiate the loan contracting process for this project. When all <br />of the contract conditions are met and the contract is executed the District may request <br />loan funds to cover eligible project expenses.
