Chapter VI - Selection of Alternative and Financial Plan

A. Narrative Description

Table VI-1 presents a summary of the alternatives developed for the outlet works
and lists major advantages and disadvantages. Based on construction cost and the
desires of the SSRC the preferred Outlet Works Alternative is relining. Because of
the unknowns associated with the existing outlet and the need to refine the relining
alternative in design, financing for the removal and replacement alternative is being
requested. The construction cost of the outlet works removal and replacement is
approximately $289,500.
The spillway issues would involve some survey and engineering to determine actual
field conditions and routing the 100-year inflow flood through the defined spillway.
Based on accomplishing the field survey and engineering analysis, the Spillway
Alternative 2 would be the desired alternative. The construction cost of rehabilitation
of the spillway is $40,000

Description Approx.
