The district purchased 1 share of Pioneer <br /> <br /> <br />Ditch Company stock and transferred it to the points of diversion <br /> <br /> <br />as decreed by the well permits. For this privilege the district <br /> <br /> <br />agreed to build a 22 acre/feet storage reservoir on Maxwell Creek <br /> <br />to supplement the waters to be taken during the irrigation <br /> <br /> <br />season. <br /> <br />In August, 1981, the first phase of the pipeline <br /> <br /> <br />construction was started. The low bidder at $129,000 was <br /> <br /> <br />Bechtold Construction Company of Golden. The work commenced at <br /> <br />the intersection at Brook Forest Estates Road and Aspen Meadow <br /> <br /> <br />Drive and progressed along Brook Forest Estates Road to the <br /> <br /> <br />intersection of St. Moritz Drive. The work was finished in <br /> <br />December, 1981. <br /> <br />In July, 1982, the Storage Reservoir on Maxwell Creek was <br /> <br />started by Grimm Construction Company. The contract price was <br /> <br /> <br />$289,000. Grimm finished this work in November, 1982. <br /> <br />In August, 1982, Phase II of pipeline construction was bid, <br /> <br /> <br />Kemp and Hoffner was low bidder at $52,000 for this last phase of <br /> <br />the project. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
