<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CHAPTER III - PREVIOUS STUDIES <br />(Summary from October 2000 Feasibility Report) <br /> <br />The DISTRICT conducted a Reconnaissance Study for WETP ACK that was completed in <br />November of 1998. The Reconnaissance Study evaluated most of the possible WETP ACK <br />components and excluded many of the components from further consideration. The components <br />and alternatives described in the 2000 Feasibility Study were derived from this previous work. <br /> <br />The engineering consulting firm of Water Consult reviewed the WETPACK plan in 1998 to <br />provide a "third party" evaluation. Water Consult found that WETPACK was an appropriate use <br />of DISTRICT funds. <br /> <br />The Environmental Impact Statement, Definite Plan Report and as-built drawings for the Project <br />prepared by USBR were also used as a source of basic data. This information included facility <br />sizes and configurations, land classification for lands not currently served by the Project, and <br />hydrologic analysis. <br /> <br />Please refer to the 2000 Feasibility Study for detailed information. <br /> <br />4 <br />
