Income With regard to household income, Frederick's median family income of $32,667 was 84 % higher than the median non-family household income of $17,750. This is likely because there are more wage earners per household in the family average. Female households as a group are the least financially secure, with 48.6% (21 families) of all female householder families living below the poverty level. Since over 35% of households were either female householder families or nonlamilies, this lower median income figure should be a consideration in the provision of future housing. In comparison to other conununities, Frederick's median household income of $29,044 is 13.3% above the Weld County average of $25,642, but it fell short of the $30,140 State median. This trend held true for median family income as well: while Frederick families on average earned $32,667 or $1,867 more than their Weld County counterparts, they made roughly 10% less than the State average of $35,930. It is interesting to note that wages have increased considerably since the 1980 u.S. Census: the median household income for Weld County in 1979 was $15,805.
