The water decreed for this sYstc~m is diverted from the Arkansas River at La <br />Junta. Colorado. It is taken uo the Fort Lvon Canal where it is dumoed into the <br />Kickin2 Bird Canal in Section 12. Townshio 22 S. Ran2e 51 W. Bent County Colorado. <br />It is then taken uo the kickin2 bird for stora2e at the Great Plains Reservoirs. The <br />lamest of the reservoirs. the Nee No She. has been restricted by the state en2ineer <br />because there has been some deterioration to the outlet structures causin2 leaka2e at <br />the dam.
