<br />CWCB Construction Fund Loan Application <br /> <br />any existing operati.onal or maintenance problems. Attach separate sheets if needed, and a map <br />of the service area. -The Dolores Water Conservancy District is the local sponsor of the <br />Dolores Project. The Dolores Project was built by the Bureau of Reclamation and is operated by <br />the Dolores District. The Project provides irrigation and M&I water in Dolores and Montezuma <br />counties in southwestern Colorado. The main feature of the Dolores Project is McPhee <br />Reservoir, with a c:apacity of 381,000 acre-feet. The annual yield of the Project provides an <br />irrigation water supply for the Ute-Mountain Ute Tribe (7,600 acres), the Montezuma Valley <br />Irrigation Company (26,200 acres), and the full-service Project lands (28,200 acres). The <br />irrigation supply totals approximately 92,500 acre-feet per year. The Project also provides <br />municipal and industrial water for the City of Cortez, the Town of Dove Creek, Towaoc, and <br />the rural domestic water users throughout the District service area. Features of the Dolores <br />Project include: McPhee Dam, the Great Cut Dike, 7 pumping plants with 36 separate pumps, <br />85 miles of open canals, 150 miles of pressurized pipeline lateral systems, 302 irrigation water <br />delivery boxes and meters, 102 M&I water taps and meters, and three hydro power plants. <br /> <br />For existing facilities indicate: <br />Number of shareholders <br />Current Assessment per share $ <br />Number of acres irrigated 91,000 <br /> <br />or Number of customers served ?'i,R7? <br />Number of shares <br /> <br />Part B. - Description of the Project <br />1.
