<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />EI Paso County Water Authority <br />EI Paso County Water Report <br /> <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />1.0 Water Provider Demands I <br />I <br />I <br />The EI Paso County Water Authority (EPCW A) has prepared this Water ReJort to assist its <br />members in the formulation of current and future water policy to me(~t the needs bf its customers. <br />I <br />The EPCW A represents approximately 16 entities in El Paso County. These entities include the <br />I <br />following: Cherokee Metropolitan District, City of Fountain, Colorado Cen~re Metropolitan <br />District, Donala Water and Sanitation District, EI Paso County, Forest Lak~s Metropolitan <br />1 <br />District, Paint Brush Hills Metropolitan District, Security Water District, Stratnioor Hills Water <br />I <br />and Sanitation District, Sunset Metropolitan DistrictlPikes Peak Water COlnpany (part of <br />~ I <br />Cherokee Metropolitan District), Town of Monument, Town of Palmer i Lake, Triview <br />Metropolitan District, Widefield Water and Sanitation District, Woodmoor Wat~r and Sanitation <br />, <br />District, and Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District. Whereas, approximately I 16 other water <br />providers, including the City of Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU), are not reJresented by the <br />. I <br />EPCW A, they have provided data for this study and are cooperating water providers to the <br />EPCW A. The locations of these water providers within EI Paso County are sho~ on Figure I- <br />I <br />I. I <br />I <br />, <br />, <br /> <br />1.1 Evaluation Criteria I <br />, <br />To evaluate water supply issues, it is necessary to first assess the historical, cuhent, and future <br />I <br />water demands of EI Paso County water providers through the year 2020. Thes~ water demands <br />I <br />will be used in the Water Report for (1) planning estimates for comparison to water supply, (2) <br />I <br />estimating water shortfalls, (3) assessing water conservation and reuse po~ential, and (4) <br />I <br />optimizing County water distribution infrastructure. ; <br />1 <br />I <br />, <br />I <br />This evaluation updates and extends a study undertaken by the EPCW A in 1~99 (GMS, Inc., <br />, <br />1999). Twenty-four water providers in EI Paso County have provided data and information on <br />1 <br />their service areas, including the extent of current service and proposed futtrre service area <br />I <br />expansions. Only 13 of the water provider members of the EPCW A, along with another nine <br />, <br />I <br />water providers, supplied data and information.
