<br />. Colorado River water not consumed or exported from northern Mexicali Valley flows to the
<br />Alamo and New Rivers, which flow through Imperial Valley to the Salton Sea

<br />. The sources of flow to the Alamo and New Rivers include municipal/industrial wastewater
<br />and sewage effluent from Mexicali, and agricultural drainage from the northern portions of
<br />Mexicali Valley

<br />. The average annual flow of the Alamo River where it crosses the border ranges between
<br />1,500 to 1,600 acre-feet
<br />
<br />. Average annual flow of the New River where it crosses the border ranges between 135,000 to
