Water Supply Planning and Finance Section -Changes to Existing Non-Reimbursable Projects - <br />City of Florence -Oak Creek Reservoir Feasibility Study <br />Tape 3, Track 1 01:10:37 01:25:10 <br />Action: A motion was made by Barbara Biggs and seconded by Don Schwindt to approve staff <br />recommendation that the Board approve the use of a previously approved Non- <br />Reimbursable Project Investment to the City of Florence for a Feasibility Study for the <br />purposes of flood control mitigation to be performed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers. <br />The staff also recommends transferring the appropriated funds remaining under Non- <br />Reimbursable Contract number C150203 to a new contract for the same. The project title <br />and description as shown in the original Non-Reimbursable Project investment, SB05- <br />084 must be revised in the 2008 Projects Bill before a contract can be executed. Staff <br />recommends the use of the following language to be used in the Projects Bill: <br />SECTION 27. Section 15 of Chapter 224, Session Laws of Colorado 2005, is amended <br />to read: <br />Section 15. Oak Creek sir FLOOD CONTROL MITIGATION feasibility <br />study -appropriation <br />(1) (1) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any <br />moneys in the Colorado Water- Conser~~ation Board Construction Fund not otherwise <br />appropriated, to the Colorado Water Conservation Board, for the fiscal year <br />beginning July 1, 2005, the sum of one hundred sixty seven thousand dollars <br />($167,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the Board to participate with <br />the city of Florence, Colorado in the Oak Creek Reservoir FLOOD CONTROL <br />MITIGATION feasibility study to be prepared by the United States Army Corps of <br />Engineers. Other participating entities include the Town of Coal Creek, the Town of <br />Rockvale, and the Town of Williamsburg. <br />(2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall remain available for <br />the designated purposes until the project is complete.
